Tips & Hints

Mowing and Watering

Lawns should be mowed high to allow leaf blades to capture sunlight. More sunlight translates into a healthier lawn with deeper roots. The best time to water the lawn is during the morning so that the grass has sufficient time to dry. Overnight watering could cause fungus and disease to grow on the lawn.

Fertilization

Depending on the condition of your lawn, fertilization should occur at least four times per year; early spring (February to April), late spring/early summer (May to June), late summer (July to August), early fall (September to October) and late fall/early winter (November to December)

Core Aeration

Once or twice a year, the lawn should be aerated. This process requires punching holes into the lawn to allow water and fertilizer to get deep into the roots of the grass thereby, providing better results
